Which World Region Has the Most Flight Capacity?

Global flight capacity will rise to 510 million this month, marking a 6.6% increase over June 2023, continuing the upward trend of recent months.

The only region worldwide with a decline this month is Lower South America, down 2.5% compared to last June.

Interestingly, the region with the largest percentage increase is Upper South America, with a 15.6% rise. This is followed by Eastern/Central Europe with a 14.1% increase, and North Africa with a 13.3% increase.

In terms of volume capacity growth, three regions are reporting increases exceeding 6 million seats this month compared to the same month last year. These are Western Europe with a 7.4 million seat increase, North America with a 7 million seat increase, and North East Asia with a 6.5 million seat increase, as we move into the peak summer period in the northern hemisphere.
