Job Descriptions

  • Produce the Annual Revenue Plan, Sales, Marketing Budgets and Forecasts
  • Produce Action Plan related to the Revenue Plan to ensure Revenue Plan objectives are achieved
  • Provides a professional, advisory support service to the SVP for Sales
  • Coordinate all methods of maintaining and increasing business volume. This includes sales promotion, individual selling, publicity, community relations, special sales projects, etc.
  • Create and implement special programs to achieve greater profitability through:
  • Increasing average rate
  • Increasing overall occupancy
  • Enhance the image of Atlasglobal in the community
  • Participate as an active member of the community through associations, memberships and other trade organizations
  • Review regularly activity reports of Sales and Marketing personnel to ensure targets and Sales objectives are being met
  • Review regularly internal promotion pieces for visual effect and ensure they conform with brand standards
  • Investigate potential markets by:
  • Reviewing Sales Department
  • Analyzing passenger history
  • Studying passenger surveys
  • Reviewing government statistics on visitors to the city
  • Analyzing competition’s sales/promotion efforts
  • Studying various reference and industry publications for sales leads
  • Recommend to SVP Sales the kind of advertising which will be most productive for Atlasglobal by analyzing the market effectiveness of past advertising campaigns and consulting with other Department Heads and the Advertising Agency
  • Procure new and repeat business for the Airline by maintaining contact with Hotels, Travel Agencies, OTA’s, B2B’s,Consalidators and Professional Associations within the community and neighboring markets
  • Review regularly the Public Relations activities to ensure high awareness of the Airline in the local and national media
  • Manage the development of new products and services
  • Oversee the development of new marketing strategies
  • Conduct market research
  • Direct and manage all relevant group of sales and its activities to maximize revenue for Atlasglobal.
  • Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly SMARTS report, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as directed/required.
  • Develop rates, Ad-hocs / group series and deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management.
  • Direct, manage, train and counsel sales staff
  • Actively participate in sales presentations, info/press tours
  • Conduct/attend daily/weekly business review meetings, weekly strategic sales meetings, management meetings and other meetings as required/ requested.
  • Manage/direct promotional activities
  • Maintain good communication with Regional Sales personnel and implement corporate initiatives

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree from a reputable university
  • Minimum of 5+ years Airline Sales experience
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to generate sales leads
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to be a team player
  • Leadership
  • To have a good command of English, Turkish

Hello everyone. My name is Mehmet Kali. In the industry, I am known as "Kali". I graduated from the first civil aviation training school in Turkey, which was known as the Civil Aviation School at the time and is now Eskişehir Technical University, in 1991. As I graduated from the Business Administration department, it was a bit challenging for me to integrate into the industry. I have worked for companies such as SultanAir, DHMI, Havaş, and Swissair, and currently, I provide services and consultancy in air cargo transportation. I have experience in dispatching, air traffic control, passenger services, and aircraft coordination. During my time at Swissair, I had the opportunity to experience aviation training in many countries. Since 2012, I have been focusing on air cargo transportation. For three years, I taught courses on air cargo at Nişantaşı University. I still hold valid IATA certifications related to both passenger and cargo operations. For over ten years, I have been managing aeroportist.com, a news website related to aviation, which initially started as a hobby. I enjoy building aviation networks and sharing knowledge.
