Tailwind Airlines returned from the International East Mediterranean Tourism Exhibition (EMITT), one of the world’s top 5 tourism fairs, with new partnerships aimed at increasing flight destinations and the number of flights.

EMITT, which is a meeting point for the international tourism sector, was held between April 12-15, 2023 at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center. Tailwind Airlines, a leading company in the civil aviation sector, unveiled new flight destinations and signed new partnerships to increase the number of existing flights at the fair, which featured more than 50 countries, major tourist attractions worldwide, tourist facilities, and more than 100 municipalities from Turkey.

At the fair, Tailwind Airlines, which brings a new breath to the Turkish Civil Aviation sector, introduced two new Boeing 737-800 passenger aircraft to its fleet, contributing to the development of Turkish tourism.

According to Burçak Kaya, Commercial Manager of Tailwind Airlines, who stated that they had a productive fair period in terms of business volume, they attended EMITT 2023 with their valuable business partner Involatus Carrier Consulting GMBH. Kaya said that they had the opportunity to meet with both their existing and potential tour operators during the fair and that they aimed to expand their flight network with the two new Boeing 737-800 passenger planes that would be added to their fleet. Kaya also announced that they would start daily flights between Antalya and Chisinau as of May through their partnership with Mobseb Tour.

EMITT 2023 hosted various important topics related to tourism, such as 2023 Tourism Forecasts, Sustainable and Responsible Tourism, Health Tourism Plan in Export Strategy, Eko-Agro-Gastro Tourism, Influencer Strategies Beyond Destination Clichés, Tips for Building Relationships with Your Target Audience, Metaverse: Experience Expanding Tourism Resources, Travel Technologies for Holiday Designers and Planners, Different Destination Discoveries: Italy, TRNC, Brazil, Russia, and Maldives, Travel Technology Entrepreneurship Ecosystem, and How Travel Tech Facilitates Business Processes for Tourism Sector Stakeholders.

Hello everyone. My name is Mehmet Kali. In the industry, I am known as "Kali". I graduated from the first civil aviation training school in Turkey, which was known as the Civil Aviation School at the time and is now Eskişehir Technical University, in 1991. As I graduated from the Business Administration department, it was a bit challenging for me to integrate into the industry. I have worked for companies such as SultanAir, DHMI, Havaş, and Swissair, and currently, I provide services and consultancy in air cargo transportation. I have experience in dispatching, air traffic control, passenger services, and aircraft coordination. During my time at Swissair, I had the opportunity to experience aviation training in many countries. Since 2012, I have been focusing on air cargo transportation. For three years, I taught courses on air cargo at Nişantaşı University. I still hold valid IATA certifications related to both passenger and cargo operations. For over ten years, I have been managing aeroportist.com, a news website related to aviation, which initially started as a hobby. I enjoy building aviation networks and sharing knowledge. If there is anything I can contribute to, I am here. Best regards "kali"
