📅 As of 00:00 UTC on April 17, 2025, a major operational shift is taking place in Istanbul airspace:
🔹 The implementation of Simultaneous Triple Independent Parallel Runway Operations at Istanbul Airport.
With this new concept, simultaneous takeoffs and landings will be conducted on three independent runways, significantly boosting both air traffic capacity and operational efficiency. 🛩️🛫🛬
This operational advancement brings with it major updates to air traffic procedures:
📌 STARs (Standard Arrival Routes)
📌 SIDs (Standard Instrument Departures)
📌 Approach procedures
All have been revised and published in the Turkey AIP accordingly.
📍 On April 17, 2025, around 11:00 local time, the first-ever full-scale Triple Independent Parallel Runway Operation, including simultaneous departures and arrivals, will be executed—marking a historic moment in Turkish civil aviation. 📖👏
