Air Astana boosts services to Guangzhou
China network continues to expand rapidly
Air Astana is all set to boost services to Guangzhou in southern China, with the launch of new twice weekly flights from Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana on 2nd June 2026. The airline has been operating four flights a week from Almaty to Guangzhou since March 2025. Air Astana additionally operates scheduled flights to China’s capital, Beijing and Urumqi in western China, and will launch a new service between Almaty and Shanghai at the end of March 2026.
Flights from Astana to Guangzhou are scheduled to operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with departures at 18.45 and arrival at 04:30 next day. The return flight will operate on Wednesdays and Fridays, departing from Guangzhou at 05:45 and arrival in Astana at 10:10. All times local. Flights will be operated by latest generation Airbus A321LR aircraft, with a flight time from Astana to Guangzhou of 6 hours 45 minutes.
The launch of the new route helps strengthen business, tourism and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and China, and expands opportunities for travel and transit through Air Astana hubs in Astana and Almaty.
